Boarding

Storybook Farm offers a full service boarding facility. It is important to us that you feel confident leaving your pet with us while you are away from home. We would be happy to arrange a personalized tour of our boarding facility at any time.

Our clean and spacious kennels feature indoor kennels and covered outdoor dog runs for exercise (weather permitting). Dogs and cats board in separate areas and boarding care is supervised by a veterinarian. You will be asked to leave a phone number and alternative contact for treatment authorization in the event you cannot be reached.

For the safety of all pets, dogs and cats must be current on required vaccinations and must have had a negative fecal test within the last year, either before being admitted, or upon admittance into the boarding facility. Fleas, ticks or intestinal parasites will be treated if found, and the cost of the treatment will be added to the boarding fee. Your pet will receive prompt treatment for any illness during boarding.

Medications your pet receives can be given for a nominal daily fee. All medication should be brought from home in the original labeled container. You may also bring your pet’s own food if you prefer.

Does your dog like treats? We are pleased to offer 2 homemade goodies available for a nominal charge for your dog’s enjoyment while he/she is staying with us. Bizzy Bonz are hard red rubber Kongs filled with kibble and peanut butter and then frozen to provide your pet with hours of play. Pupsicles are a delicious mixture of bananas, honey and yogurt blended together and frozen in individual portions to provide a refreshing treat. It would be our pleasure to spoil your pets while they are in our care.

Please call our office at 585-924-7740 to check availability in the kennel or to make a boarding reservation. We encourage you to make reservations in advance for busy times such as holidays and school breaks. Note that drop-off and pick up days may vary during the holidays. If you need to cancel a reservation kindly try to give us 24 hours notice so we can accommodate other guests.
