Dental Care for Your Pet

Did you know that nearly 4 out of 5 dogs over the age of 3 years show some signs of oral disease? The 10 breeds at greatest risk are Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Papillon, Standard Poodle, Pomeranian, Shetland Sheepdog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Dachshund and Havanese. Ask one of our veterinarians or technicians to evaluate your pet's teeth at your next visit.  Home dental care will be discussed after the dental cleaning to help maintain good oral health.

Geriatric Wellness

As pets get older they often experience subtle changes in their health that are not always obvious to owners.  As in all exams, early detection is the key to starting successful treatment before these problems become severe.  We recommend that all pets over the age of 7 years be examined every 6 months by your veterinarian.  This senior exam will include a full physical exam and any laboratory diagnostics suggested by your pet's veterinarian.  Dietary changes are in order for dogs and cats over 7 years of age, and we can help you with this transition. This way we can help you  keep your pets happy and healthy for many years to come.
